Mr. Guitar
According to my source the drummer is the great Jeff Duffy and his aunt owned the breakers in MIchigan City.

This is a great show and brings back great memories of that area. They are not forgotten there and are missed - I was playing golf nearby and heard a band playing "in a daydream. " it was awesome

Subject: Earliest known FJB show
This is the earliest known recording of FJB. I'm not even sure who the band is - it's definitely Marty and Wayne, plus a drummer, keyboardist, and I think a bassist. I asked Simon if he was the drummer, and he thinks he was not. I think the original tape I got this from just said "Beakers 1987" but I think that 1987 might be wrong. Wayne says something about Dyngus Day (Easter Monday) during the show, so I estimated April 1989. Neither he nor Marty had any idea what year the show was from. Regardless - it's pre-1990, and has some great tunes! The astute among you might notice Wayne's heavy use of delay, which eventually would make its way into lots of FJB's tunes. The "Wayne Healy Guitar Solo" track sounds a lot like what would eventually become "Wonder."
